Mr. Steven Kalczynski appointed General Manager of The Oberoi, Mumbai

13th April 2010, New Delhi, India: Mr. Steven Kalczynski has been appointed General Manager of The Oberoi, Mumbai, The Oberoi Group's luxury hotel on Marine Drive in South Mumbai.

With a career that spans over thirty years, Mr. Kalczynski brings to the role a wealth of luxury hospitality experience garnered at exceptional hotels and resorts across the globe.

In his new role, Mr. Kalczynski is overseeing the re-opening of The Oberoi, Mumbai. The hotel re-opens on 24th April, 2010 following extensive restoration and renovation. Mr. Kalczynski will be responsible for offering guests gracious hospitality and personalised service they have come to expect from The Oberoi Group.

Prior to his appointment as General Manager of The Oberoi, Mumbai, Mr. Kalczynski was the General Manager at The Ballantyne, part of Starwood's Luxury Collection in Charlotte, North Carolina for almost five years. During his tenure, the hotel received a range of awards and accolades, including the AAA Four Diamond Award, Mobil Four Star Award and Starwood's Tiffany Award for the highest ranking luxury hotel worldwide with overall quality scores in 2008 and 2009. He has also spent a significant amount of time with the Sheraton Corporation, and lived and worked in China.
